Printable Veterans Day Crafts

Dear all,

As we approach Veterans Day, it’s important to take a moment to honor and celebrate the brave men and women who have served our country and fought for our freedom. As parents and educators, it’s also a great opportunity to teach our little ones about the significance of this day, and what better way to do so than through these fun and easy preschool crafts!

Craft #1: Patriotic Handprint Flag

Patriotic Handprint FlagThis first craft is a simple but meaningful way for kids to create their own symbol of patriotism. All you’ll need is some paint, a paper plate, and a little hand! Have your child dip their hand in blue paint and make a handprint in the top left corner of the plate. Then, have them dip their fingers in red paint and create red stripes across the bottom of the plate. Voila! A beautiful handprint flag that can be hung up and proudly displayed.

Craft #2: Thank You Cards

Thank You CardsThis second craft is a wonderful way for kids to show their appreciation and gratitude for our veterans. Using construction paper, markers, and stickers, have your child create a special thank you card with a heartfelt message inside. You can then deliver these cards to your local VA hospital or send them to a military family member or friend.

Craft #3: Poppy Flowers

Poppy FlowersThe poppy flower has become a symbol of remembrance for those who lost their lives serving our country. This craft is a great way for kids to learn about the significance of the poppy and create their own beautiful flowers. Using red paper, black buttons, and green pipe cleaners, your child can create a stunning poppy bouquet to honor our fallen heroes.

We hope you enjoy these Veterans Day preschool crafts with your little ones and take some time to reflect on the sacrifices made by our veterans. Happy Veterans Day!

Sincerely,

The PreK Printable Fun Team
