Preschool assessment packAre you ready to show the world what you’ve got? Well, this printable preschool assessment pack is here to help you do just that!

You might be asking yourself, what exactly is an assessment? Well, it’s a fancy word for a way to measure what you know and what you still need to learn. This pack will help your teachers and parents figure out what you’ve already mastered and what you could use a little more help with.

How to use this pack

First things first, you’ll need to print out the pack so you can get started. Ask your grown-up to help you do this if you’re not sure how.

Once you’ve got the pack, you’ll see that it includes a few different pages:

  • A letter recognition page
  • A number recognition page
  • A color recognition page
  • A shape recognition page
  • An emotions recognition page
  • A cutting and pasting page
  • A tracing page

Each page has different things you’ll need to do, but don’t worry, they’re all designed to be fun and engaging!

Let’s talk about some of the pages in more detail

Letter recognition

Letter recognition pageOn this page, you’ll see all of the letters of the alphabet, both uppercase and lowercase. Your job is to look at each letter and say its name out loud. If you’re not sure what a letter is, ask your grown-up to help you!

Once you know the name of the letter, find the matching letter on the right side of the page and color it in. Keep going until you’ve colored in all of the letters!

Color recognition

Color recognition pageThis page is all about colors! You’ll see a bunch of different shapes, each one a different color. Your job is to say the name of the color out loud and color in the matching shape.

If you’re not sure what color a shape is, take a look at the guide at the bottom of the page. It’ll show you all of the colors you need to know.

Emotions recognition

Emotions recognition pageDo you ever feel happy? Sad? Angry? Excited? Well, on this page, you’ll see a bunch of different faces, each one with a different emotion. Your job is to look at each face and say how you think the person is feeling.

Once you’ve done that, find the matching emotion word at the bottom of the page and trace it. Then, color in the face!

Why use an assessment pack?

Assessments might seem a little scary, but they’re actually really useful! They can help your teachers and parents figure out what you’re good at and what you still need to work on.

Plus, assessments can help you feel more confident in yourself! If you know that you’ve got a good handle on your letters and numbers, for example, you’ll feel proud and excited to keep learning.

So don’t be afraid of assessments! They’re just a way to show off what you’ve learned, and to figure out what you still need to learn.

What to do after you’ve completed the pack

Once you’ve finished all of the pages in the pack, show it to your grown-up! They’ll be so proud of all the hard work you’ve done.

Then, ask your grown-up to talk to your teacher about the results. Your teacher can use the information from the pack to figure out what lessons you’re ready for and what you could use some more help with.

And remember, the most important thing is that you have fun while you’re learning!

Until next time,

Your friend,
