Free Printable Santa Beard Countdown

Ho ho ho, holiday season is upon us once again! And what better way to kick off the Christmas countdown than with some festive crafts? Check out this hilarious Santa Beard project I found:

Santa Beard

Santa Beard craftWhat’s better than a big fluffy beard during the winter? A big fluffy Santa beard, of course! This craft is super easy and fun for kids and adults alike. All you need is:

  • Cotton balls
  • Construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Black marker

First, cut out a circle from the construction paper to be the face of your Santa. Then, glue on a bunch of cotton balls around the edge of the circle to create his beard. You can shape it however you like, but remember - the fluffier the better!

Next, cut out a red hat from the construction paper and glue it on top of the circle. Add a fluffy white cotton ball to the top of the hat for the pom-pom. Now it’s starting to look like Santa!

Using the black marker, draw two dots for eyes and a little smile on the face. You can also add a small triangle of black construction paper for his nose, or just leave it blank.

Finally, cut out a strip of white construction paper and glue it to the bottom of the face for his beard to connect to. And voila - your very own Santa Beard! Hang it up on the wall or wear it around your face for some added Christmas cheer.

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup red sugar crystals
  • 1/2 cup green sugar crystals

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until well blended.
  3. Divide the dough into two equal portions. On a sheet of waxed paper, roll one of the portions into a log about 12 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. Repeat with the other portion.
  4. Roll each log in the red and green sugar crystals, making sure they stick to the entire surface of the dough.
  5. Wrap the logs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Remove the logs from the refrigerator and slice them into rounds about 1/4 inch thick. Place the rounds onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
