Okay, y’all. If you haven’t jumped on the air fryer bandwagon yet, what are you waiting for?! This thing is a game changer. You can fry up all your favorite foods without any of the guilt (or the mess)! But if you’re just getting started, it can be a little overwhelming. That’s why I’ve put together this cheat sheet for y’all. With these cooking times and temperatures, you’ll be an air frying pro in no time!
First up, chicken!
Chicken can be a little tricky in the air fryer. You want to make sure it’s cooked all the way through, but you also don’t want it to be dry and overcooked. Here are some guidelines to follow:
- Chicken Breasts: 370°F for 15-18 minutes
- Chicken Thighs: 380°F for 18-20 minutes
- Chicken Wings: 380°F for 25-30 minutes
Make sure to season your chicken with your favorite spices before you pop it in the air fryer. You can keep it simple with just salt and pepper, or get creative with some garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
Next up, vegetables!
Vegetables in the air fryer are a game changer, y’all. They get nice and crispy on the outside, but stay tender on the inside. Plus, they’re a great way to get some extra veggies in your diet. Here are some guidelines to follow:
- Asparagus: 400°F for 5-7 minutes
- Brussels Sprouts: 380°F for 15-18 minutes
- Carrots: 380°F for 12-15 minutes
- Zucchini: 400°F for 8-10 minutes
You can season your veggies with whatever you like. I love a little garlic powder and parmesan cheese on my Brussels sprouts, or some cumin and chili powder on my carrots.
Don’t forget about seafood!
Seafood in the air fryer is a revelation, y’all. It cooks up perfectly and stays nice and tender. Plus, it’s a great way to get some healthy omega-3s in your diet. Here are some guidelines to follow:
- Salmon: 400°F for 8-10 minutes
- Shrimp: 400°F for 5-7 minutes
- Tilapia: 375°F for 8-10 minutes
Season your seafood with whatever you like. A little lemon juice and dill is great on salmon, or some garlic and parsley on your shrimp.
And of course, french fries!
Fries are probably the thing everyone thinks of when they think “air fryer.” And for good reason! They come out perfectly crispy every time. Here are some guidelines to follow:
- Regular Fries: 400°F for 12-15 minutes
- Sweet Potato Fries: 400°F for 15-20 minutes
Season your fries with some salt as soon as they come out of the air fryer. You can also get creative and try some garlic parmesan fries, or some truffle fries if you’re feeling fancy.
And there you have it, y’all. With this cheat sheet, you’ll be an air frying pro in no time. Just remember to season your food well and keep an eye on it while it cooks. Happy cooking!
